We woke up at 5:30am for our train to Bologna. We had a driver meeting us at the station who would drive us to Modena to start our day at the Lamborghini Museum. We had bought tickets online for a 9:30 entrance time, which is the first slot of the day. We arrived in Modena around 8:30am and stopped at a Cafe for breakfast. We had some very good pastries and observed all the Lamborghini branded merchandise.
Once we finished eating, it was time to head to the Museum. We arrived about five minutes prior to opening and it was super foggy.
There was a white Lamborghini Urus parked at the museum entrance next to the bull.
The founder of Lamborghini, Ferruccio Lamborghini, named many of the cars after bulls due to his love of bullfighting. The Lamborghini logo even depicts a charging bull.
Shortly after the doors unlocked and in we went. The museum was two floors and started off with the older models such as the Miura and Countach. One thing that I immediately noticed about the Miura was how low the roof was compared to a new car. The height is just slightly taller than the famous Ford GT40.
We then made our way upstairs to see what really interests me, the newer models. We basically had the place to ourselves for the first 30 minutes or so before more people started to arrive. I took as many photos as I could and really took it all in. They had some of Lamborghini’s best examples of cars such as the Sesto Elemento, the Revaton, and even the new Coutach.
I noticed many of the cars were numbered 1 of xx or 0 of xx. I assume 0 is a prototype of some sorts before the actual first production release.
They also had an IMSA championship winning car in the collection.
Here are a few other cars we saw.
Next up will be a stop at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena.
