As our journey continued from London, we took an early morning train through the Euro-tunnel to Paris. We got to witness an amazing sunrise while traveling through the French countryside. I was able to piece together some live photos of the journey into a video below.

We arrived around 10am and walked from the train station to our hotel,  Westin Vendome, which is across from the Tuileries Garden, between the Louvre and Place Vendôme. I requested a room with a balcony that had a Eiffel Tower view, and it was not disappointing!

After dropping off our luggage, we started our site seeing trip. We would only be in Paris for the day and would leave the next day for Brussels. We started by heading across the street to Tuileries Garden and then the Louvre.

Next, we headed to the Eiffel Tower. On the way we stopped for some pastries which were amazing! We found a bench with a view of the Tower and enjoyed the view and the food. The line to go up in the Eiffel Tower was pretty long, so we moved on to the Arch de Triumph. We were really excited to go up inside it, only to find it was closed for the day while we were there.

We walked back toward our hotel and grabbed some lunch. On the way back, a Formula One car caught my eye. A Renault was on display and I grabbed a couple quick pics passing by on the walk down the Champs Elysees.

Then we headed over to Notre Dame Cathedral and again the line was really long so we passed on that as well. After a bit more walking around, we stopped for dinner and some Champagne.

Finally, we got to view the Eiffel Tower light show from our balcony before heading to bed.
