This past weekend I traveled to Benezette, PA in an attempt to photograph some Elk. I was able to meet up with my father-in-law, who has been in the area before and would help me try to locate them. Upon arrival, we came across a large male Elk at the edge of the woods. I jumped out of the car and grabbed a couple pictures as it moved away into the woods. I wasn’t sure how the photo would work out since it was pretty overcast from previous rains. I was very happy with the result once I had time to post process it in Lightroom.
This was actually the only decent picture of an Elk I got on the trip. I only saw two Elk over the two days I was there. Based on my research, I expected there to be many Elk all over the area, but my timing must have been off. Other people there also said the sightings were limited right now. I still had a good time despite this and am happy with the photo I ended up with.
